It is with immense pride and deep emotion that I write this note today as the President of The Sainik School Old Boys Association. Today, the Foundation Day, is a day of celebration, reflection, and heartfelt gratitude as we come together to honour the legacy of our beloved institution.

To begin with, I extend my warmest congratulations to all the alumni. Each one of you is a testament to the enduring spirit and excellence that Sainik School instils in its students. You carry the values, discipline, and honour that this great institution has imparted to you. Your achievements in various fields, your contributions to society, and your unwavering commitment to our nation’s progress are sources of immense pride for all of us.

Our journey started with a visionary idea, and for this, we owe a debt of gratitude to the founders of our beloved Sainik School. Their foresight and dedication laid the foundation for an institution that has consistently produced leaders, warriors, and gentlemen of the highest order. Their vision was not just to create an educational institution but to nurture future defenders of our great nation, and they have succeeded beyond measure.

A special thank you is due to our esteemed teachers, both past and present. They have been the guiding lights, the mentors who shaped our minds and characters. Their tireless dedication, patience, and unwavering belief in our potential have made us who we are today. We owe them more than words can express. They have not just taught us subjects but have instilled in us the values of integrity, discipline, and patriotism.

As we reflect on the journey of Sainik School, we are reminded of the countless success stories that have emerged from its hallowed halls. Our alumni have gone on to excel in diverse fields—defense services, civil services, corporate sectors, academia, and beyond. Each success story is a shining example of the school’s commitment to excellence and its ability to mold young minds into capable, responsible, and driven individuals.

The bonds we forged here are unbreakable. The camaraderie, the shared experiences, the trials, and triumphs have created a brotherhood that stands the test of time. The lessons learned, both inside and outside the classroom, have been our guiding compass in life. We have faced challenges with courage, embraced opportunities with enthusiasm, and navigated our paths with the wisdom imparted to us by this great institution.

As we celebrate today, let us also remember our duty to give back to the institution that has given us so much. Let us pledge to support the next generation of students, to uphold the values and traditions of Sainik School, and to ensure that it continues to shine as a beacon of excellence for years to come. In order to do so, I request all alumni to register on the Old Boys Association website and please grace us with your presence in December 2024 during the Alumni Meet, where we share, laugh, bond and celebrate our stories.

In conclusion, my heart swells with pride as I write this. You are the living legacy of Sainik School, and your achievements are the crowning glory of our alma mater. Let us continue to uphold the honour, integrity, and spirit of this great institution in everything we do.

Thank you, and Jai Hind!
Sincerely, Sudhir Tyagi
